A Kid's Life in Germany

What time does school start, and what time do you go home?:

School starts at 7:45 and ends at 4:20, except for Fridays when I get to go home early. I like to hang out with my friends after school. We do our homework together, so sometimes I don't get home until dinnertime. 

How do you get to school? Are you allowed to go to school by yourself?:

Sometimes I walk to school, or if I want to go somewhere after school, I take my bike. I am allowed to go to school by myself, as it's not very far away from my house.

Where do you eat lunch? What is your favorite food?:

I eat lunch outside with my friends, unless we get döner or if I need to buy lunch at the store. I don't like to buy my lunch because I like to sit outside with my friends. My favorite food is strawberries! Sometimes I have a sandwich with strawberry jam for lunch. 

 

What language do you speak at school? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

I speak German at school, unless I'm in English class; then we have to speak in English. In German, Hallo is how you say "hello". 

What are some common kids' names at your school?:

My best friends' names are Julia, Evie, Sarah and Laura. Some other names of kids in my class are Timm, Henry, Lisa, Henning and Elisabeth.

What subjects do you study in school, and which one is your favorite?:

We study a lot in school. I take Math, Biology, English, Religion, German, Philosophy, Swedish, Sport and History. My favorite class is Math.
