Camels, The Ships of The Desert!

Introduction:

There are two different kinds of camels, the kind that lives in the Middle East is called the Dromedary camel, also known as the Arabian camel. This camel has one hump where it stores enough water to last at least three weeks! So the camel is the perfect companion to take with you into the desert since it won't get thirsty for a long time!

What does this creature or plant look like?:

The camel has one hump and long knobby legs that end in a hoof that separates into two big toes. He or she has a long neck and a funny looking face with big buck teeth. A camel's fur is short but soft and their tails are pretty long, but not as long as their legs or neck. They are pretty stinky most of the time and have long eyelashes to protect their eyes.

How did I feel when I saw it?:

I was very excited when I saw all the camels sitting together. They were all lying down in the sand and some were making funny noises. Camels have a lot of attitude!

Where does it live?:

This kind of camel lives in deserts or in oases. There is a group of people called Bedouin that came from the Arabian peninsula and for hundreds of years have shepherded camels, donkeys, sheep and goats. For hundreds of years, Bedouin lived out in the desert in tents and moved their animals toward water. They used to sell their animals in towns and also ride them in the desert.
