A Concrete Jungle?

Introduction:

What do you think of when you hear the word "nature"? As a city girl who has never been so much of a hiker, camper or outdoors-y person, I often think of Central Park in New York City. This doesn't mean I don't enjoy nature when I'm in it (yes, I've hiked many times). I just tend to prefer cities. So this week, we're looking into the nature of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

What does this creature or plant look like?:

Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina, and I was visiting with two friends this past week for a little vacation.

It's a city of almost three million people, which is about the population of the entire country of Uruguay. The city's large size means it is a busy place with a sense of rush; and the people from Buenos Aires (porteños) can come across as rude. This may not surprise you, given that cities are often known for the hustle-and-bustle of their inhabitants!.

Buenos Aires has many attractions: Unique neighborhoods with gorgeous and thought-provoking street art, botanical gardens, a Japanese garden (it's supposed to be the biggest one in the world outside of Japan!) and plenty of museums.

Because this week we are asked to focus on a creature or plant, I'm going to focus on the creature that is the city of Buenos Aires.
