Rain, Rain, and More Rain!

Whenever there are festivals or events in the city during the fall or the winter, there is always a rain location. If it is not raining very hard, partcipants won't use the rain location and will just go out with their umbrellas and rain jackets! Few people seem to mind the rain. Or at least, it never stops them from enjoying their day. A very typical part of the day for Spaniards is the early afternoon when they go out to eat a pincho, or small snack, and have a coffee or another drink with their friends or family. Most restaurants have lots of outdoor seating, so people can eat their pinchos and enjoy the company of their friends and the outdoors. These restaurants have large tents, pavilions and umbrellas for people to use when it rains, so that they don't have to change their everyday activities just because of the weather. Although the rain makes it a little more difficult to carry out day-to-day activities, Asturians always remember how important the rain is and all the greenery that they will be able to enjoy after it is over!
