Thai Food!

Introduction:

Bangkok is known for its street food. You can buy many different dishes while walking down the road. It is very fun and very inexpensive!

What food did I try?:

I have tried many different foods including pad thai, mango sticky rice, amazing different soups and lots of noodle dishes. Pad thai includes flat long noodles, leeks, carrots and egg. Sometimes it has some sort of meat like shrimp or chicken. Coconut soups are very popular here, too. They have a white broth and usually have many different types of mushrooms. My favorite dessert, mango sticky rice, is fresh sliced mango with warm rice and a sweet coconut sauce that goes on top of it. The boba tea is another one of my favorite things. It is tea with milk on ice, and it has squishy brown circles like tapioca in it.

How did I feel when I tried it?:

I think trying new foods is very exciting. I love seeing what food is like in different cultures, and I love getting to know a new place by trying all of the different food! The street markets in Bangkok have dozens of people selling all different types of food. It can be an overwhelming amount of smells and options, but I love walking around and trying many different things. I like to get meat and vegatables on a skewer to start out with, then some sort of stir-fried rice or noodles, and finish with a fun dessert or tea!
