Five Sixth Graders at My School

Introduction:

The names of the students I talked to are Jimena, Sabela, Marcos, Marta and Manuel.  They answered most of the questions in English, but I helped them with translating their answers in a few places. They are very eager to talk to American students and to learn more about the United States!

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:

J: I eat cereal with milk and Cola Cao. For lunch, it depends on the day. For dinner, it also depends on the day.  Sometimes I’ll eat pasta, but if I’m not hungry I’ll just drink milk.
S: I also eat cereal with milk and Cola Cao, and sometimes I drink orange juice. For lunch, it depends on whether I’m hungry or not.
Marcos: I drink milk and eat cookies.
Marta: I drink milk with Dinosaurus or eat a tomato with toast.
Manuel: I drink milk with Cola Cao and cookies. I sometimes drink orange juice.

Note: Cola Cao is basically chocolate powder with sugar and wheat added to keep the consistency.  Dinosaurus are animal crackers in the shape of a dinosaur.

What is your house like?:

J: My house has a medium-sized garden.
S: My house has a small garden and a gallery. It’s small and has two floors.
Marcos: My house has a big garden, and it is big.
Marta: My house is the same as Sabela’s. Sabela’s house is red and my house is blue.
