Traveler Bio

Hola! Hello! I'm David, and I am a recent graduate of Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, where I majored in international studies and music, and minored in Spanish. In addition to my studies in school, I also love to read about and study history, geography and weather. I am a passionate, lifelong learner who never tires of discovering new places, languages and cultures; learning foreign languages is one of my favorite hobbies. I hope to further develop my Spanish while living in Spain for nine months!

During my junior year at Dickinson, I studied abroad and was fortunate enough to be hosted by wonderful families. In the fall, I studied in Bologna, Italy for four months, and in the spring, I studied in Ecuador for one month and then Argentina for four months. The highlights of my year included hiking in the Italian Alps and in the Amazon rainforest.

In my free time, I like to sing, and I have had the opportunity to sing a wide variety of music from musical theater and opera. One of the many reasons I study music is because I am curious and passionate about the many different places and cultures of the world. I love learning about other cultures through their music, and have sung in languages such as Inuit, Norwegian, Korean and Chinese. As an avid sports fan, I also enjoy playing soccer, basketball and golf. Originally from New England, my family and I now live in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
