As a scientist, I read articles every day about research in my field. I also try to read a chapter of a book in French every other day. This week, I've been reading one called 'Les grandes épopées qui ont fait la science' ('The great epics that made science'). It tells the story of the history of scientific advancements and how they were predicted.
My friends and I had a board game night where we played one of my favorite board/strategy games, called Settlers of Catan. In the game, you make trade deals, build roads and cities, and try to be the first person to earn 10 points. At my university in Paris, I also played babyfoot (foosball or table soccer) and flipper (pinball) with my friends.
Game night was such a blast that my friends and I are going to try to get together to play board games at least every two weeks. There's a coffee shop that has board games near the university.
