Daily Life

Hello in Korean is "annyeonghaseyo." I learned Chinese in China where I studied for 4-5 years at a university. I also did business in China, so it helped me to become very fluent in Chinese. Although my business actually failed, it was a great learning experience.

Do you have pets?:

Yes, I have a dog, and he is from England. His name is dooly which is named after a Korean dinosaur animation.

Have you traveled? Where have you traveled to?:

Yes. I have been to China, Russia, Canada, New Zealand, Spain, France, Nepal and Japan. I love travelling because I learn a lot about life when I travel. I learn many things about the world, and this new knolwledge gives me new perspectives on my life. I went backpacking in Nepal, and I walked the pilgrimage trail of Santiago de Compostela, in Spain. This is a long trail that took me 33 days to walk. It was amazing, I had a lot of time to think and I met people from around the world, and we shared many beautiful moments together.

What do you do for work?:

At first, I worked in interior construction, but now I am managing different real estates. I am a landlord and own several shared houses that house a lot of Koreans and foreigners.

Is there anything else you would like to say to students in the United States?:

Travel! Travel! Travel! It is one of the best things in the world. I met so many cool people from different countries, and we all shared amazing experiences and stories. Travelling was so much fun, and I came home to South Korea with a new perspective. I would love to travel to the United States one day.
