I have had so much fun sharing my travels with you Classroom PS 157. I really enjoyed getting to know you and answering your questions. Many of you asked some really great questions. I hope that through my travels you have learned a little more about South Korea and about how amazing it can be to travel and live abroad.

When I first arrived in Seoul, I was both nervous and excited all at the same time. Everything was very new to me. At first, I felt like I did not belong, and I was constantly having to adapt to new challenges, like the extreme humidity in the summer, or the busy subways. But after living in Seoul for several months now, I feel a lot more adjusted. I have friends who I can spend time with and share new adventures with. Additionally, I can speak enough Korean to get around and ask for help. For example, last week I was walking down my usual commute to the gym. I noticed that in the first months of living in Seoul, the busy streets and crowded sidewalks felt very strange to me. Now, as I walk to my gym, I feel at ease. The busy streets and crowded sidewalks feel familiar and have become a part of my everyday life, here.

Studying abroad has taught me many things about myself and about the world. The world is vast; it’s huge.
