This week, I climbed to the top of the gate, and could see the whole city! It was amazing to be in such an ancient structure, and to be able to look out over the town.
I just learned that over 2 million tourists visit Trier every year. Before coming here I'd never heard of the town, but apparently it's a pretty popular tourist destination!
