This was the exact week that summer turned into fall. The first few days were bright, sunny and hot, then suddenly it became cooler, cloudier and windy, too. Many German people love wearing scarves in the fall, so my German friends joked that it’s not the color of leaves that indicate the changing seasons, but rather the sudden appearance of scarves! On Tuesday, Trier was a scarf-free town. Then on Wednesday, the whole town was wearing them! What does that tell you about the weather we have beenm having here?
Near the school where I work, there’s a little park full of ducks! They like to sunbathe and swim in a tiny pond. I also saw LOTS of dogs! Dogs are allowed almost everywhere in Germany, even in libraries, fancy restaurants and grocery stores!
