Introduction:

Let’s take a quick second to look at México on a map… what do you think it is shaped like? Maybe it looks like a chili pepper, a pointy beard (barba), or a high-heeled shoe? The country itself is very long from north to south and wide in many areas, which is a feature that makes it look pretty cool, and it also allows it to cover a lot of area. Just like in the United States, the climate and environment in México varies a lot from one end to the other. The north of México is a desert, with dry, hot, cactus-filled landscapes, while the south is a whole other world with tropical, humid jungles. México also has mountains, snow, volcanoes and beaches, each a different environment with its own type of plants and animals! There are many zoos and ecological parks around the country to help teach and let people explore the many different native species México has to offer, but my favorite way to experience the non-human life in México is randomly and by surprise in nature. That is why I am very excited to show you the new furry friend I met this weekend in Tulum.
