Vero and I got to know each other in the language departament of our university and have been hanging out and becoming closer ever since. A native to México, a wonderful teacher, a woman with many talents and a smile to boot, I am happy to introduce you to my friend, Vero. Here are her words and the translation, with a few comments from me in brackets.

Vivo en Chetumal, por colonia Adolfo Lopez Mateos. Mi casa es de medio tamaño, de una planta, y del color rosa mexicana.
Vero lives in Chetumal, Quintana Roo, México, where she has grown up her whole life. Her house is the the colony [for neighborhood] of Adolfo Lopez Mateos, near the university where we both study. Her house is mid-sized, one story and painted pink.
Mi familia es buena onda y ellos me apoyan mucho. Yo vivo con mi abuela y tía, y ellas son divertidas, festivas, amorosas. Ellas tienen corteza y humildes y siempre están respetuosos.
Her family is really great and always supports her. Vero lives with her grandmother and aunt, who are two women with fun personalities, who are always ready to celebrate, who are very loving, and who have thick skin and are humble.
