I traveled about 300 miles this week on site visits, and going to a nearby city.

I got around by walking, bus, van and rickshaw! A rickshaw is a three-wheeled car, a little bigger than a motorcycle. They are very common here, and used as taxis. Rickshaws are popular because they can maneuver quickly in traffic, and there are a lot of traffic jams here in Bangalore!
I vistited Mysore Palace this past weekend. The palace at Mysore used to be home to the rulers of this state in India, even 500 years ago. The palace was burned down around 1890, but rebuilt in 1913.
The water system in parts of Bangalore was shut down yesterday and today in parts of Bangalore for repairs. This did not affect the water supply at my college.
