Journal Entry:

Hi everyone, I hope this journal finds you well! Things have changed quite a bit since I last wrote about our projects and cows.

Our program finished this last week, and we submitted our final reports Friday night. We had to leave a few days before the scheduled end of our program. But first, my friend Torie and I went on a treasure hunt!

Last year's group of students left a secret item in Cubbon Park, the huge park in the center of Bangalore, for our group to find. They told us to find the largest tree in Cubbon Park, and retrieve the small item that they hid on it. Nobody in our group had found the tree, so they sent us a picture of it and the coordinates on a map. Torie and I set off for the park on our last day in India to find the treasure!

We walked through the park, with the photo of the tree and Google Maps open on our phones. It was a hot day, with temperatures of 30 degrees Celsius, so we were grateful for the shade of the park! After walking for about thirty minutes, we found the tree! It was covered with vines and it was huge!

The photo last year's students gave us as a clue showed them placing the object in the tree, with one of them on the other's shoulders. We found the exact same spot on the tree, and because I am tall, I looked first.
