One of my favorite artists is Noah Kahan because he’s from New England like I am. People here in Tasmania also like Noah Kahan! I think this is funny because while I'm living on the other side of the planet in Australia, my Australian friends are listening to songs written about the place I grew up in.
This week I went for a run in the pouring rain. I love running in the rain because it keeps me cool!
This week I have been reading the news about Antarctica. Scientists are trying to find the best place for the next “marine protected area” in the ocean around Antarctica. This is very interesting to me because I study ocean governance. It is also very important for all my favorite animals, like penguins, whales, and seals!
In the spring time, I haven't been playing any sports. A couple months ago I played on a rugby team and this was a lot of fun. Rugby is similar to football in the U.S. Rugby is very popular in Australia. I had so much fun learning how to play.
All of the rain and sunshine in Hobart this week has created so many rainbows! The rainbows in Tasmania are more bright and vibrant than I have ever seen before. Every day I see a rainbow, and usually it's a double rainbow!
