It is springtime in Tasmania, which means warm, wet, and windy weather. In the mornings it can be a bit chilly. I like to wear a jacket if I go outside in the mornings. By the afternoon, it is hot and sunny! Springtime in Tasmania is always very windy. Tasmanians (people from Tasmania) say the wind comes straight from Antarctica and that's why it's so chilly!
I have seen lots of birds this week! There are more sea gulls in Hobart than I have seen in any other city. They're the same kind of sea gulls I see back home in the U.S. I also say an Eastern Rosells which is a beautiful rainbow colored bird. Lastly, there have been some Tasmanian hens wandering around the park this week!
The coolest thing I saw in nature this week was a group of baby ducklings taking their morning bath in a puddle while they're parents watched over them. They made quiet little chirping sounds and their parents made loud honks.
