In our first call, I was not able to provide you with a sufficent response when asked about 1) deforestation of the Amazon and 2) water access in more rural Amazonian areas. Here is what I learned.
This week was packed with fun and meaningful experiences, as I dove deeper into campus life at Doshisha University. I also attended an intercultural exchange event organized by Colore International.
In Türkiye, I usually take the bus or dolmuş to get around. Sometimes I ride with friends or grab a taxi when I’m tired. Transportation here is a big part of daily life and culture!
Sogamoso has been undergoing many construction projects, mainly on roads! The town has many dirt roads in some neighbourhoods, and the city is finally addressing the issue by paving them.
