Transportation in Morocco: Casablanca, Rabat and Marrakesh

Introduction:

My trip to Morocco was one of the most beautiful experiences I have had the blessing to be a part of. Here's a small history of the country. Morocco is in Northern Africa. The main national language spoken is Arabic. Morocco is also a Muslim country, in which Islam is the main religion practiced amongst Moroccans. However, there is also a big Jewish population as well.

We traveled on Sunday, September 23rd and arrived in the city of Casablanca. We stayed overnight and the next day got the opportunity to visit the third-largest mosque in the world, Hassan II Mosque. We then traveled to Rabat for three nights. We got the opportunity to stay with a host family in their home. My host family was very sweet and welcoming. I had a host mother, father, older brother and two sisters. Next, we visited a small rural village to visit an elementary school and local non-profits. Finally, for the rest of the week, we stayed in Marrakech and got to visit the medina, a local and huge supermarket, and the Jardin Majorelle, a beautiful blue tile garden.

How do people get around?:

Based on my observations, there are many similarities between the modes of transportation between the three major cities and the smaller rural village that we visited.
