Getting Around in Thailand

And I really enjoyed these experiences! I liked to look out the sides and see new things that way. These journeys were also good opportunities for me to practice speaking Thai when I talked to the drivers. But sometimes, I would get frustrated because it was hard to use this form of transportation, as sometimes when I needed to take a songthaew, there were none in the area. I would have to wander far out of my way to find one. At other times, a songthaew would pass by, but it would be full of people already so I'd have to look out for another one. Overall though, I really liked songthaews and tuk-tuks. I'm glad I got to ride in them.

Is this way of getting around connected to the culture and environment, How?:

The ways of getting around are very related to the climate and environment in Thailand. When I was in Thailand, I thought the motorbikes were really cool. I thought to myself, "Hey, maybe I should get a motorbike when I go home!" But then I realized that if I had a motorbike at home, I would not be able to ride it a lot. It wouldn't be good to ride a motorbike in the cold. Motorbikes, tuk-tuks, and songthaews, all work well in Thailand because it does not get very cold there!
