If you'd rather ride, you can enjoy a nighttime drive through the city going to different mountain lookouts to admire the entire city from above and enjoy the fresh night air. If you want to travel farther, there are many local bus stops as well as a major terminal making it convenient to travel anywhere you wish.
This week was actually special because it rained twice! Por fin (finally). Cali is known as "the land of eternal summer" due to its nearly constant heat. Locals have been anxiously awaiting their annual relief of the rainy season in September-October. Just when they started joking that perhaps it wouldn't come this year, we woke up one morning to a nice little rain shower that lasted the whole morning and I was reminded of that lovely post-rain scent.
