To begin, my parents are from Baja California, Mexico, and they immigrated to the United States a few months before I was born. I was born in the city of Oakland in Northern California, but you have probably not heard of this city before. It is very close to another more famous city by the name of San Francisco! I lived in Oakland until I was about eight years old, and from there, my family and I moved to a different city named Santa Rosa.

Since my family is from Mexico, I grew up speaking Spanish at home with my parents. However, while I was in school, I would speak in English with all of my classmates and teachers. This was great because it helped me become bilingual. I have a younger sister named Kimberly, who started her first year of college this year. I also have a younger brother named Santiago, who started fifth grade this year. So he should be around the same age as most of you!

I lived in Santa Rosa until I graduated from high school, which was all the way back in 2017. I had decided to attend Macalester College in Saint Paul, MN. During my first year of college, I made the decision to major in physics. Physics is the study of the laws of nature.
