Visiting One of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World

Introduction:

Victoria Falls is located between the African countries of Zimbabwe and Zambia. It is the largest waterfall in the world. Victoria Falls was named after Queen Victoria by a Scottish explorer. Local tribes around Victoria Falls have named this waterfall "The Smoke that Thunders."

What makes this environment special or different?:

Victoria Falls is special because it is the tallest and widest waterfall in the world. It is also naturally-constructed, making it one of the seven natural wonders of the world. There is also a naturally-formed infinity pool known as "The Devil's Pool" at the edge of the waterfall, and the surrounding ecosystem represents the only rainforest in the world with constant rain.

What parts of this environment help people to live here?:

Victoria Falls is home to various tribes. One very important tribe lives in the Mukuni Village and they are considered to be the owners of the falls. They have a lot of rights and access to the falls and play a central role in any decisions that need to be made about the area. Money made from tourism is put into local communities through development and schools. Also, the constant rainfall helps to maintain a very lush growing environment.
