The Khama Rhino Sanctuary

For example, plains zebras live in the treeless grasslands and woodlands of eastern and southern Africa. The Grevy's zebra lives in in the arid grasslands of Ethiopia and northern Kenya. The mountain zebra is found in South Africa, Namibia and Angola. In Botswana only the Burchell's zebra occurs.

How does it use its environment to survive?:

Zebra's legs are long and slender, which allows them to run up to 40mph. The legs are also very strong for kicking predators in close range. Zebra's teeth have adapted to different grasslands that helps them chew food effecientley, they can even bite extremely hard when trying to protect themself. Zebra's also use their appearance to survive. The striped markings make it difficult for predators to target individual zebras in a large herd. Stripes also blur a zebra's image as it runs from a predator.

What can harm this creature or plant? Are we worried about it?:

The zebra's main predator is the lion. Zebras are slowly becoming endangedered due to the destruction of their enviornments. Some zebras are even hunted for their skins, making them more endangered as a species.
