What does this creature or plant look like?: This creature is very tall, in fact it is the tallest mammal in the world! Every giraffe has its own unique pattern of spots, the same way humans have unique finger prints. As giraffes get older their spots get darker.
How did I feel when I saw it?: I was amazed, it was so cool seeing giraffes running in the wild. They run in such an awkward way!
Where does it live?: They live in savannas, grasslands, and open woodlands of sub-Saharan Africa. They can go long periods without water, so you can often find them in large open areas searching for trees to munch on. Adult giraffes eat around 100 pounds of leaves every day!
