Life of My Host Mom

Introduction:

In Tenerife, I live in a house owned by a family. The grandfather lives here, but the rest of the family has their own house. The mom works here, so I see the family a lot. They have been so welcoming and patient with me. They are so kind and always try to include me. This is the daily life of Carmen, the mom and owner of the house.

Where do you live? What is your house like?:

Where Carmen herself lives is further south than Santa Cruz. It is a small city unlike the big capital of Santa Cruz. She also lives right by the beach. She is in an apartment building with a big window that looks out over the ocean. 

What is your family like?:

Carmen is married and has two children. They are twins, 12 years old, one boy and one girl. Carmen's father lives with me in the other house. Carmen's husband's family is from Madrid.

How do you get around?:

Carmen has a car that she uses. This is nice because it is much faster to get around and more direct than public transportation. 

What types of clothing do you like to wear?:

Carmen likes to wear jeans or a long flowy skirt. She also likes to wear jewelry, especially big pendant necklaces.

What do you like to do in your free time?:

Carmen likes to walk and do pilates.
