Carmen mostly speaks Spanish, although she is learning some English. She studied French in school but does not remember a lot of it. Hello in Spanish is "Hola." Another common greeting is "que tal?" which means what's up?

Do you have pets?:

At the moment, she has no pets.

Have you traveled? Where have you traveled to?:

Carmen has traveled a lot in Europe. She is from Tenerife and has visited all of the islands nearby. She moved to Madrid after school to work and has traveled all around Spain.

What do you do for work?:

Carmen runs a pension. A pension is like a hostel. It is a building in which people can rent out rooms to stay while they are traveling. Carmen is in charge of taking care of the guests and organizing their reservations. 

Is there anything else you would like to say to students in the United States?:

Carmen thinks that it is so cool that you are following my travels! She wants you all to study hard so one day you can also travel to another country.
