I always believed that humans can take care of the environment more than what we are doing today. I believe we can all work together and reduce the amount of trash in the landfills and work together to keep the oceans clean. In the U.S. where I live, I would see roadside crews cleaning the sides of highways. For the most part, people in Illinois knew better than to toss a piece of garbage out of the car window. Walking down any street in downtown Chicago means you will find trash and recycling bins every few hundred feet. That is not the case in Thailand. This does not mean that we should ignore the efforts in Thailand to keep its streets clean. It means that we should help Thailand even more. We are all living together in this world, so it only seems right that we all help each other keep it clean and make it sustainable.
For the most part, the difference between the environment here in Pathum Thani, Thailand and back home in Collinsville, Illinois is the weather. It is always hot and humid here in Thailand. Pathum Thani might be an hour away from Bangkok, the city with the tall buildings and cool downtown areas, but it is still affected by pollution coming from Bangkok and other areas.
