What main languages are spoken here?:

In the Philippines, the two official languages are Tagalog and English. Tagalog is sometimes referred to as Filipino. There are many other regional languages and dialects spoken throughout the Philippines, as well. The most common way to greet someone is by saying, "Kumusta?" It means, "Hey, how are you?" Can you figure out what other language Tagalog is similar to?

What type of money is used here?:

Here they use the Filipino peso, which is different from the Mexican peso that you are probably thinking of. The typical paper pesos are 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000. There are also one, five and 10 peso coins.

What was the best meal this week?:

The best meal by far was homemade lumpia, freshly cooked by my Lola. It's basically a spring roll, similar to what you would get at an American Chinese restaurant. Lumpia translated into English actually means spring roll.
