The Daily Life of a Londoner in my study abroad neighborhood

How do you get around?:

I use public transportation like the Tube or a bus to get around in the city. Sometimes I ride my bicycle.

What types of clothing do you like to wear?:

I like to wear simple clothes like jeans and a t-shirt, but sometimes I will wear a dress if I’m going out to an event or for a night out with my friends. When the weather is cold, I wear a sweater and coat, gloves and a scarf.

What do you like to do in your free time?:

I like to watch movies and TV shows or go out to see a live show here in London. When I have time and the weather is nicer, I like to play tennis with my friends. Occasionally, my roommate and I like to visit a pub in the neighborhood to have a drink and to socialize. I also like to have a cup of tea or coffee with friends.

What language(s) do you speak? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

I speak English and Tagalog. In Tagalog there is no word that directly translates to “hello,” but we greet each other by saying, “how are you?” That phrase is: Kumusta ka.

Do you have pets?:

I don’t have enough space in the flat for pets, so I don’t have any pets right now.

Have you traveled? Where have you traveled to?:

Yes, I have been many places. I grew up in Los Angeles and have been to New York, San Francisco, San Diego and Seattle in the U.S. Since moving to London, I’ve traveled around Europe, as well, and have been to Amsterdam, Paris, Rome, Berlin, Budapest and Stockholm among other places.
