What main languages are spoken here?:

Arabic. But the Egyptian accent is very different from the Arabic accent in Jordan. I could hardly understand it!

They use the Egyptian Pound. 100 Egyptian Pounds is equal to $6.15 in U.S. dollars.

How much does a bottle of water cost?:

A bottle of water is around 20 Egyptian pounds, so about $1.20 in U.S. dollars.

What was the best meal this week?:

I ate rice stuffed cabbage in Cairo, and I loved it.

What music did I listen to this week?:

I heard lots of Arabic music in cars and from parties in hotels all over Cairo. The music is always played so loud!

What activity was the most fun this week?:

I loved going to the library in Alexandria. The library is new, but it was built in the area that the ancient library of Alexandria once stood. The ancient library was so famous and many famous writers, learners, teachers, scientists and poets spent time there thousands of years ago. The library burnt to the ground in the Roman period, probably by Romans.

What did I read this week?:

I read lots of information in museums in Egypt about ancient artifacts. I also read lots of news about events happening in the Middle East.
