The most interesting place I visited this week was Ambos Mundos Café Librería in the neighborhood San Antonio. It was interesting not only because it combines two of my favorite things in the world (books and coffee), but also because this past Saturday they had a poetry reading, live music and a freestyle rap show all in the same night. I've already planned to return this weekend.
Since Cali is a mountain city, you really don't need to travel far to satisfy a need for adventure. If you want to hike, you can take a short bus ride to a local hiking trail and spend the day there. If you'd rather ride, you can enjoy a nighttime drive through the city going to different mountain lookouts to admire the entire city from above and enjoy the fresh night air. If you want to travel farther, there are many local bus stops as well as a major terminal making it convenient to travel anywhere you wish.
