Meet My Host Sister, Rebeca!

Introduction:

I was born here in the state of Paraná, Brazil. My mom's name is Monique and my dad's name is Thiago. My parents separated two years ago. I live with my mom, but I spend a couple of afternoons with my dad every week. I go to school close to my house. I can walk there in 10 minutes! When I am not in school, I like to play with my friends Olivia and Rafa, who live on Rua das Oliveiras (Street of the Olive Trees) as I do.

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:

For breakfast, I drink coffee and eat bread with margarine or jelly. Sometimes, I am not hungry, so I just drink coffee. My coffee has lots of milk and sugar to make it sweet.

For lunch, one of my favorite foods is risotto, which is a bowl of creamy, cheesy rice with chicken or beef in it. I also like macarão (pasta). We eat pasta with lots of different meats and sauces. My favorite is my mom's macarão and molho branco, a creamy white sauce.

Dinner is a small meal here. We eat it at about five or six at night. Sometimes, my mom lets me make the coffee! I love to make coffee. We drink coffee and eat more bread and margarine. If we have leftovers from lunch, we can eat those too.

Every so often, we go to someone's house or have a special dinner. This is like a fourth meal late at night. Last week, we went to my great uncle's house and had a special soup.
