Grapevines and Wine

How does it use its environment to survive?:

Grapes generally need a hot and dry climate to grow. Many vineyards are located on hills. This allows excess water to drain down into bodies of water, which is important for the development of grapevine roots. Grapes are generally grown in areas with mild winters and with adequate rainfall, but that are not too humid.

What can harm this creature or plant? Are we worried about it?:

Threats to grapevines include bacteria and fungi, which cause disease. Insects and environmental conditions can also spread disease. One of the most important threats to grapes is climate change. Increasing temperatures and decreasing rainfall are threatening grapevines.
