Saturday Night Journeying into the Louvre

Introduction:

The Louvre is one of the most famous attractions in Paris, France. From the outside, every crevice in the architecture is beautiful and symmetrical using geometric shapes and celebrating different famous painters. The amount of detail in the building makes you stare at it constantly and wonder how long it took to finish a structure this complicated abd beautiful!

What tradition did I learn about?:

On the first Saturday of every month, the Louvre offers free admission to students under 26 years old. The other free admission night occurs on Bastille day, which is a French holiday to celebrate a victory day during their revolution.  Students from my school, and others living near Paris, regularly attend the Louvre because there is a large array of information to look at and appreciate. This is one of the biggest reasons why the Louvre has free admission at least once per month. So much history is there that it would be a waste if it were left unseen!

Why does the community have this tradition?:

This monthly free admission gives a free educational experience to peple who might not normally see such art, sculptures and historical artifacts. The most famous pieces of work, here, include the Mona Lisa and the Liberty Leading the People painting.
