The Mona Lisa is maybe the most famous painting in the world. It was painted by an Italian man known as Leonardo da Vinci. His painting shows a woman who appears to be smirking at the viewer. However, many people see different things when observing this painting, which makes it famous.

The Liberty Leading the People painting is by Eugene Delacroix. It is famous in France because it represents the country's beliefs: Liberty, equality and fraternity.
