The Moscow Metro

Introduction:

In Moscow people use cars, trains, and even scooters (they are much more popular than skateboards here) to get from one place to another, though I will mostly be focusing on the trains in my article. As mentioned in my autobiography, I go to school in Chicago. Chicago, like most big cities has a city wide train system that is both above and below ground. It has many different train lines, including the blue line, green line, red line, etc., all requiring waiting about eight to 14 minutes for the train after the last train has left. The Moscow metro's stops, as you can see in the pictures, are all beautiful with different handpainted and sculpted art, chandeliers and wall decorations at every stop. However, you are always in a rush, you would never get to see most of it, because the trains here are very fast! They come every two minutes, so even if you miss your train, it is not a big problem. In this article I will also talk about the cars that Russians use to get around, including my favorite, the Lada.

How do people get around?:

As I previously mentioned, Moscow has a lot, and I mean a lot, of trains. Not only that, unlike in Chicago, almost everyone here uses the trains to get around because they are so cheap, fast and easy to find. I bet most of you have to ride with your parents everywhere, and you may have to until you can drive, too.
