The Moscow Zoo

Introduction:

I saw lots of different animals while I was at the zoo, many of which were kept outside. I'm sure they were just as cold as I was! The largest animals I saw, which also happen to be among my favorites, were elephants. I had never actually been up close to an elephant before, and let me just say that I don't think words can describe how big they are! I was sad because the spider exhibit was closed that day. Spiders are my favorite animal! I'll try again later in the year. I have also filled up this week's album with different animals I saw as well as some drone photos that I took.

What does this creature or plant look like?:

Since I have already talked about the elephant, let's talk about another animal I found very interesting. One of the most popular exhibits at the park was a display with raccoons living inside! They are so common in the U.S., especially where I live, yet even though they're cute, they're pretty well known for their ability to destroy your garbage can. Russians, however, love them. The people I saw at the exhibit simply thought of them as "fat masked cats" and it was even hard to get some pictures in because it was so crowded. Another very interesting animal I saw was a baby emu that was being playing with one of the staff members. After seeing the big emus that are notorious for being incredibly mean, the baby was so small in comparison!
