One of the new songs I’ve been listening to is from the show “Lanterns,” and it’s called “THINGS BEHIND THINGS BEHIND THINGS” by Bon Iver. It’s a really melodic, slow and deep song that I find very calming and comforting to listen to. If you like those kinds of songs, you should give this one a listen!
For me, the most fun activity this week was playing table tennis with my friends. I used to play table tennis during a college program I participated in during high school because we had a table in the boys’ dorm, and that solidified my love for the game. Getting to play again was incredibly fun, and while I was there I got to meet so many new people who lived in the same area as me. We got to know each other, played ping-pong tournaments and the vibes were just phenomenal.
I am an avid reader, and some of my favorite genres to read are psychology, philosophy, self-help and fiction. As of this year, I have read Tuesdays with Morrie, Ikigai, Eating Animals, Tender Is the Flesh and more. Currently, I am reading Man and His Symbols by Carl Jung, which is a psychology book about how our unconscious affects our lives and how dreams are our unconscious giving us hints about what we are experiencing. So far, one of the biggest surprises to me from the book is how Carl Jung describes our unconscious as essentially another “person” living within us that operates independently of our conscious mind. I find it to be a very educational book that has taught me a lot about how our unconscious plays a part in our lives.
