The weather this week has been dark, cloudy, gloomy, rainy and cold. This is a complete shift from when I first arrived in Germany, when it was hot and humid all day. The heat felt horrible, especially because most places in Germany don't have air conditioning, so even being inside was unbearable. My teacher told me that summers in Germany weren't always like this, but that the country has been getting hotter due to global warming.
I saw the same animals I normally see, including dogs, skinks, possums, squirrels and birds. However, this week I went to Cologne with my friend, and we visited a nature trail called Dünnwalder Wald, where we saw bison. They were huge and majestic, and there were three of them together. They were also slightly aggressive because one charged toward the electric fence when they got close to us. Safe to say, we backed up a little bit.
