The main language spoken here is Czech. My students also study English and German in school.
The currency is called Czech korunas, or "crowns" in English. 1 U.S. dollar equals about 20 Czech crowns.
A bottle of water usually costs around 20 crowns, or one dollar.
My best meal this week was of course, Svičková, which I wrote about in my Food Field Note! After a long hike with friends, we stopped at a local Pivovar (tavern/brewery) to warm up and have a good meal!
I love all kinds of music, but this week I have been loving Harry Styles' new song "Aperture"! My students have also introduced me to some Czech rap music in class.
The most fun activity this week was my hike in the Šumava Mountains. It was a lot of fun! We walked over five miles through the snowy woods.
