I traveled over 75 miles this week! My trip to the Šumava Mountains took about two and a half hours by train.
I have traveled many, many miles in my time here! I have visited over 15 different cities in the Czech Republic, including Prague, Olomouc, Ceský Krumlov, Ceské Budějovice, Hradec Králové and more! I have been to three different countries as well: Austria, Poland and the United Kingdom.
Kaplice is very small, so I walk everywhere I need to go around town. It takes me five minutes to walk to school, five minutes to walk to the town square and ten minutes to walk to the grocery store. If I want to leave town, I usually take a bus or a train. The public transportation here is great, which is very helpful since I don't have a car here!
The most interesting place I traveled was the Šumava National Park. It has beautiful mountains and lots of fun activities to do in the winter, such as hiking, cross country skiing and sledding.
