The most fun activity this week was walking to the beach in Vigo! I went with a couple of friends after class one day, because on the rare sunny days I want to take advantage of it. We walked for over an hour to get to this small, seculded beach, but it was worth it!
This week, I started reading Don Quixote, a very famous Spanish novel about a knight who goes on a series of adventures with his old horse. We read parts of this novel in high school, so I was interested in reading more. This is also the first long novel I've read in Spanish.
Some games I played this week include playing pool (they call it billar) with my friend and some fellow teachers, playing basketball in a park and playing cards with friends!
We had a meeting this Wednesday with all the auxiliares (teaching assistants) in Galicia! It was held in an extremely futuristic building designed to host cultural events like the one I attended. I got to meet teaching assistants from all over the world, enjoy some musical performances and learn some more tips about living and teaching in Spain.
