Extremely hot. The temperature has ranged from 80-86 degrees Fahrenheit, but it feels like a New York 90-100. I did some research and discovered that the heat is so much more intense because Ghana lies much closer to the equator and receives much more direct sunlight. I much prefer being hot to being cold, but it has made me feel much more fatigued than usual, and I've been falling asleep much earlier than usual.
I've seen a stray cat, security dogs roaming the streets, and lizards. Many Ghanaians and expats in Labone keep security dogs. I know this because I often see "Warning: Beware of Dog" signs as I walk by their homes on my way to school.
I'd say the coolest thing I saw in nature was a zebra. It was my first time ever seeing one in person, and they were very interesting to observe. They move and look just like horses, and I asked our tour guide why people don't ever ride them.
