The weather was cold and cloudy most of the week, with temperatures around 2–6°C (mid-30s to low 40s Fahrenheit). There was one sunny break, but I wore a warm coat, scarf and gloves almost every day. Germany is known for very gray winter weather, so I’m really excited for spring to arrive!
I saw lots of birds, especially pigeons and crows. I also spotted bunnies in the parks. Many people in Bonn have pet dogs, and I see them everywhere being walked around the city and even inside stores and restaurants, where dogs are often welcome. Since I live in a city, I don’t see a lot of wildlife day to day, but it’s still fun noticing the animals that are around.
When the sun comes out in Bonn, the sunrises and sunsets are incredible. The sky often turns bright orange, and sometimes even pink and purple. I love looking at the sky on my way to school; it’s such a peaceful and beautiful way to start or end the day.
