Hi, Classroom!

It is hard to believe that it is already February and that I have been living in Germany since September as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant. When I first arrived, everything felt new, exciting and a little overwhelming all at once. I remember stepping off the plane, hearing a language I only half understood and wondering how I would adjust to a different school system and culture. Now, Germany feels familiar in ways I never expected, and I appreciate the small moments that make life here unique, from walking through snow-covered streets to stopping at a bakery for a warm pretzel on a chilly morning.

Connecting with you through our virtual exchange has been one of the most meaningful parts of my time here. Even though we are thousands of miles apart, your curiosity and thoughtful questions made this experience feel personal and real. Programs like Fulbright are built on the idea of cultural exchange-not just teaching, but learning from one another-and our conversations are a perfect example of that mission in action.

Living abroad has taught me to be patient, flexible and confident in unfamiliar situations.
