The weather in Cape Town right now is typical for spring, which lasts from September to November. Some days the sun shines brightly, and other days it is more cloudy. The mornings and evenings are still quite chilly, but during the afternoons, it usually warms up to about 68 or 69 degrees Fahrenheit. Soon, summer will arrive in Cape Town, which stretches from December to Febuary, and the weather will get even warmer!
Cape Town is next to the Atlantic Ocean, which makes the wind very strong. You have to be careful outside because the wind can feel like it might whisk you away! In class, we have been learning about how scientists and weather experts use math to predict wind speeds and temperatures based on patterns and data. Similar to how you guys learn to measure and estimate in class, I use similar math skills to understand the weather patterns here.
