For example, the bins are separated into aluminum, paper, glass, PET bottles, which are made out of special material, and regular waste. In my host family's home, we also recycle a lot! We have a special trash can for regular waste and usually put our plastic bottles and paper in two separate bins. Switzerland also has a policy concerning the bags in which waste is disposed; these bags can be found at most Swiss stores. All regular waste, not including the recyclable things, must be thrown away in these bags only.
