El Señor de los Milagros (Lord of Miracles)

There is one story about this lady who was paralyzed and prayed to el Senor about helping her walk again, and all of the sudden, she was able to stand up on her own. There are many stories of people who pray to Senor de los Milagros, and who have been helped them, as a result.

Is this tradition connected to its environment? How?:

This tradition is connected to its environment through the incense, or palo santo, that the procession-goers wave around during the procession. Incense is made from wood that has a nice smell and which was used by the Incas for centuries. It is believed that the palo santo can help with purifying and cleansing an object or a person.
